About

3rd person driving game done for the 2025 Global Game Jam

Summary of Contributions

A large group project. I worked with two other 3D artists. We worked together sharing files together and taking care of different parts of the workflow.

I modelled several of the sea creatures in the game as well as a few of the environmental objects. Under the Global Game Jam 2025 diversifier #256fes models were kept under 256 tris and textures were kept at 256x256. I created animations for the sea creatures during the 48 hour time frame but the animations didn't make it into the release.

Challenges and Lessons Learned

This project was my first time modelling while ensuring to stay under a specific amount of tris. This appeared as a limitation at first but ended up being a very knowledgeable experience. I used the limitation of the low poly and small texture size as a way to introduce myself to Substance Painter for the first time.
